Based on OPC estimated particle area, particle volumes were calculated, assuming spherical particles. These particle-volumes were then binned on a logarithmic scale, and total particle densities in the size classes were calculated based on total estimated imaged volumes (e.g. the product of volume per picture and number of frames). Averages of these densities per vertical strata is reported.
