2014 CCO SCOPAC Eastern Solent HI1437 TR65 Seabed Mapping Selsey to Eastoke Data
The EUNIS (version 2007) habitat map was created as part of a bathymetry survey of the nearshore zone between Lee-on-the-Solent and Selsey was commissioned by the Southeast Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme. This was managed by the Channel Coastal Observatory (CCO), commissioned by Southeast Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme and completed in 2013.

The habitat map was created by the interpretation of the bathymetry, backscatter and groundtruthing data by CCO. This was added to the Natural England Evidence Base/MHaBS and shared with JNCC as part of a widescale data collection for EMODnet by Natural England. Natural England also standardised the data into the format used in MHaBS. JNCC used this version of the data and standardised it to meet the requirements of the EMODnet Seabed Habitats Data Exchange Format (DEF) in July 2025.
