(Gonzalez-Irusta and Wright, 2016) spawning ground dataset has been modified in order to comply with the standard format developed by the EMODnet Seabed Habitats Lot. In this EMODnet format, the map key classifies areas as 'high', 'medium' and 'low' suitability. Values 2, 3, and 4 of the original raster dataset, corresponding to 'rare', 'occasional', and 'recurrent', were assigned value 'low', 'medium', and 'high', respectively. Grid cells with a value of 1 (corresponding to 'unfavourable') were assigned the value noData. The raster dataset was then converted into a polygon dataset. The dataset, originally in the WGS84 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere projection, was unprojected.
